VELOTICTY - Vroom! Vroom!

Hello All,

So Anya is out of commission for a bit (don't worry, she's healthy. Her computer blew out) so it is left to me to give you all the good news! VELOCITY is now available in ebook format at Phaze! Now you can get your fill of sexy, sexy, sexy Mark Anderson, his fast car and sizzling moments with Rebecca Lindsay *wiggles brows*
For those who haven't read about Velocity yet, here's the Blurb!
Rebecca Lindsay is perfectly happy with her quiet life. She let her father live the fast life for both of them. But when Mark Anderson walks into her library and shows tenderness towards a little orphaned girl, she loses her heart instantly. Is she ready to be a celebrity's girlfriend?

Mark Anderson knows all eyes are on him. There aren't many African American racecar drivers, and after having to fight for a sponsor he has every intention of behaving himself and winning the big race. But a chance visit to the library sends him into an obsession with a shy librarian that threatens to break his heart and drive him crazy.

Can Rebecca and Mark survive love in the fast lane, or will they crash and burn?

Updates Et Al.

Hello everyone,
So the winter is upon us and that means Christmas or whatever holiday you celebrate at this time of the year. No matter what you hold dear this time of the year as your celebration, please note that family and good friends makes it all worth while. Give someone you haven't hugged in a while a big hug and spread love and cheer. We, the Divas would like to wish you all a very happy holidays and hope to see you all first thing next year, 2010.

We are finished writing Careless Whispers but now we need to edit it (bites nails). We thought about Self publishing it but we aren't one hundred percent sure what we will do with it yet.

This blog will be short, we just wanted to tell you all that we had a lovely year with you and look forward to the release of VELOCITY in the new year. We hope you enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed writing it and look forward to writing many wonderful tales to warm you during the winter.

With lots of hugs and such,

Love Stories - Remember those?

Well hello there everyone,

First off, we are aware of some issues with our blog's layout with people not being able to comment. I (K.D) have been trying to fix it but it seems to be a bigger pain in the rare then we had anticipated. But eventually we will get it worked out *Crosses fingers*, we hope.

Secondly, wonderful news! Anya is now officially an aunt (And I be an adopted aunt of course lol). Her little bundle of joy nephew arrived in the world all perfect with ten fingers and ten toes and already has her wrapped around his little finger. Well he has me wrapped around it too even though I have yet to meet him. Babes are so adorable so we wanna congratulate Anya on that end.

Well, Velocity is coming February to Phaze. It has a cover *points to entry below this one* and a trailer and is ready to go. It even got edited already! So we are basically just waiting our turn. Careless Whispers is finished. We wrote it all now the dreaded editing before submissions is happening. We haven't decided where we will send it as of yet but we will let you know once we've decided and it gets accepted.

So Anya and I were having this conversation this morning - and it was a rather impromtu one. We were talking about true love stories and why we don't write them anymore. I'm not talking sex on ever page kinda love stories. I'm talking stories like the Scarlet Letter, The Other Boylin (I think I spelt that wrong) Girl, Jane Eyre (yes it is a love story), Memoirs of a Geisha... True stories that makes you laugh, cry, cheer and then fall in love all over again. I would Love to see some new names rise up and write some so Anya and I have decided to attempt this to lead the way - practise what we preach - so we began researching and find out that we have bitten off ALOT but so help us we are gonna chew lol.

I cannot give you any details about the project yet, because Anya and I haven't totally gotten everything down pat yet but once we do, we'll have a blurb up.

Please visit our website and check it out. Watch our trailer on youtube, we could use the views lol.

*hugs*

woohoo!! - Our first cover!! - and new link

Hello everyone!
We are tooooootally excited about our new cover that was done by Michelle over at Phaze! Isn't it pretty? She is amazing!! She has managed to incorporate the race car, the race track and the library in to the cover!! As you can tell we are bouncing off the walls...well I, K.D is because Anya hasn't seen it yet...she is probably at work so shhhhh!
Here's the blurb for Velocity
What do you get when you mix a man that loves to go fast a bookworm?
Rebecca Lindsay is perfectly happy with her quiet life. She let her father live the fast life for both of them. But when Mark Anderson walks into her library with his tenderness towards a little orphaned girl, she loses her heart instantly. But is she ready to be the woman of a celebrity? Or will she make gossip and stupidity tear them a part.
Mark Anderson knows that all eyes are on him. There aren't many African American men who are NARC(National Adrenaline Racing Circuit) drivers and after having to fight for his sponsor - he has every intention of behaving himself and winning the big race. But his love of books and children sends him into an obsession with a shy librarian that threatens to burn his body, break his heart and drive him crazy.
Secondly, our website is on it's way to being moved to here. That is all oh and if you can, give Michelle some props, she rocked it out!
All our love,

Stuffage and sale!

First of all,

We'd like to say R.I.P Michael Jackson - you will forever be our king of pop!

Secondly, yes, we're here. Things haven't been going the way we'd like lately. I, K.D, is trying to switch majors to graduate earlier and my school is dragging it's feet. You'd think I asked them to have my babies or something equally overly dramatic. But I can do this. Anya is out right now, being stuck in the middle of nowhere in the day time - as you can probably guess she's not happy at the moment.

But some good news and the reasons for this blog, first of all our first story 'VELOCITY" is in edits at the moment. Anya and I are trying our best to finish our cover art form so that we can get a sexy cover soon but with Anya off net during the days and our time difference, it's taking a tad longer than we'd like but we're getting there.

Second good news, our publisher Phaze is having a sale! It's 30% off stuff. All you need is the following code when you purchase your titles!

FIREWORKS09

It doesnt start until July fourth so don't try using it until then! Buy your favorite author titles and save? Now THAT is hot!

Anyways, I should get back to job hunting.

Happy fourth of July all you lovely Americans you! Stay out of trouble, use fireworks only in designated areas. Be sure you're properly trained to use them. Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT give fireworks to children and be sure they are supervised when useing those sparkler ones. Be safe, Watch Independence Day (That's what I'll be doing for the millionth time), drink responsibly and know that you're alive and well!

Be Blessed.

Introduction times 2

Hello everyone! I am K.D Tracey the second half of the Divas. Yes, we were brought together because of our love of writing. We do most of our writing in the dead of the night when sane people are sleeping but I have this to say about sleep - Slee is overrated- lol. We are hoping to bring you stories that are sexy, romantic, classy - all of that wrapped up in a nice little package. A bit about me, I am a romance writer and student. I have a few titles out at the moment (Kadian Tracey). The titles include African Chocolate, A Scottish Lord's Destiny, Desert Protector and Broken Wings.

My taste in music ranges all over the world - so does Anya's - as you can probably tell from our little music ninja box on the right hand side of this blog's screen. We will be adding music to it all the time so even if you don't come back to read our ramblings, stop by to chill with the musical Ninja.

I was born in Jamaica and now living in Canada. I am trying to get my BA at the moment and it is not easy. I think school was sent to test my patience but still I stick with it because I have to set an example to the people who read my work and my little sisters. I mean, if I quit how can I then tell them to go to school and do well? Anyways, I love writing stories with a little bit of steam but romantic at the same time. Anya and I are working on two titles. One was meant to be a short story then it was meant to be a novella, now we just stopped setting a border and let it go where it wants to go.

Please visit our website to get a more indepth look at us.

Thanks again for stopping by!

May all your days be romantic and may all your nights be sensual under the light of the moon!

Ramblings of an Introduction:

Hey everyone I am Diva Anya -- and welcome to our blog.

So, a bit about us? For starters it is no joke - we love to write. That passion alone is what brought us together across countries not so long ago in the dead of one night. Everyone has a song right? Ours, hands down, is Vindicated by Dashboard confessional - at the time of this writing it is the song playing on the page. We both attached to that song for years before even knowing each other.

Writing together? Honestly, we've known each other just under a month at this point but I might get a bit wishy-washy girly here and say it does feel like forever. It is too the point where we are often telling each other - "get out of my head," and already we have a handful of projects under way, some slight disagreements and secrets we have already shared.

As to our projects - one is Velocity, its 'supposed' to be a short story but I tell you all, its burning up my mind and my keyboard and making me adjust to writing the grammatically correct and publishable way. Velocity will live up to its name in more ways than one, a story of a georgeous dark skinned man with a sensitive side he lets loose around little children, and a sensual side he gives to the woman he loves, a pale-haired woman determined to make it on her own.

You must catch it. You absolutely must!

On the tail of Velocity is a story entitled Maria's Latin Lover. People, this one will be hot. I can't say much without giving away much, but the title alone should set some ideas out there. She's not a shy violet, and he has a world at his fingertips that is missing one thing...

Now... drum roll... a bit about Me:

Lets see, I might have slipped into my early 30's. I might be single and living in Arizona with a sister. I might have a job that allows me to write in the middle of the night. I might have a passion for writing, and have had it since I was a tiny girl. I can't remember how old I was when I wrote my first poem but I do remember what I wrote. It was about candy of course! What else does a tiny girl want but that? Will I write it here? Maybe one day. But I seriously doubt it as it makes me blush a bit.

From there I went on to writing what I thought were songs, then short stories, then when I was 13 or 14 I attempted my first novel. It was about a girl who wanted a horse [after all, what else does a 13 year old girl want most] and after getting said horse from a rescue operation, she trained it and made it all the way to the Olympics.

I still have that story too.

Then I sunk myself into the world of magic and fantasy. This was where my heart lay at. In highschool I was rather alone -- alot. All my friends went to other schools or somehow we drifted apart. I spent most my lunchtimes hiding in the Library just to keep the others from tormenting me. I found a book there that was in fact a fantasy/magic love story. The main characters barely kissed and hugged -embraced- was the word used. But it melted my heart to read about people so in love. But in the end - the main guy LEFT the girl. He got in a boat and left her on the shoreline!

At age 14, that just doesn't happen.

Shy quiet me, glasses and all, in the middle of class one day when I wasn't supposed to be reading but was, launched that book out of anger against the wall.

You should have seen the looks on everyone's faces. At the end of class I picked it up. I decided something, if no one was writing what I wanted to read - I would write it.

And so a monster was created.

Over the next 13 years I poured my heart and soul into fantasy writing, story after story filled my head and came out from under my fingertips, every free minute I had was spent at a keyboard. I could write 63 pages in one day - easy. My mother had to bring food into me.

Eventually, I sent one away for publishing.

Thank God it was rejected. If by some chance it had published I'd rather it be buried somewhere in a hole.

But eventually, I moved out. When I did writing time became less and less as real life took over. I fell madly MADLY in love with a man I grew up with.

He left me after seven years, to make a long story short.

My motivation for writing slowly died out, over the next five years, trickled down into online web games. But that did keep my writing alive, and it helped it to develop and grow.

Then last month I met Diva Kadian.

She hit me with a Nerf bat and motivation exploded.

My fingers write again, if a bit self-consciously. But I write again. I still have grammar errors, but all that will fix with time.

Thanks Diva Sister, for finding me and continuing to put up with me and my sometimes childish ways. Thanks to everyone else too for putting up with me.

I hope you enjoy our stories. Ideas and comments are always always welcome.

Love always,
Anya Lynn Rhine
